AT A GLANCE

What Is AirBeam Designed For?

AirBeam is a directional industrial airflow fan designed to project concentrated air along warehouse aisles, production lines, packing areas and other defined working zones where wide-area ceiling airflow may not be the best solution.

AirBeam can deliver up to 47,706 m³/h of maximum airflow, providing powerful targeted air movement for industrial and logistics environments.

AirBeam can project airflow up to approximately 27 metres, making it particularly effective for long aisles, fixed workstations, conveyors and production areas.

The AirBeam 1170 has a 1,170 mm fan diameter, a published 1.04 kW motor and a maximum speed of 475 rpm.

The published AirBeam specification uses a 200–480 V AC, three-phase, 50/60 Hz electrical supply. Final electrical requirements should be confirmed for the individual installation.

Yes. AirBeam is compatible with MegaFan control options including the Smart HVLS Controller, allowing suitable systems to form part of automated fan and building-control strategies.

AirBeam DIRECTIONAL HVLS FANS

AirBeam is MegaFan’s directional industrial airflow solution, engineered to project a concentrated stream of air into warehouse aisles, production lines, packing areas and defined working zones where broad overhead airflow may not be the most effective approach.

With maximum  airflow of 47,706 m³/h and air projection of up to approximately 27 metres, AirBeam can deliver targeted air movement deep into long or heavily racked spaces. The AirBeam 1170 uses a 1,170 mm diameter fan, 1.04 kW motor and can operate at up to 475 rpm.

Its focused airflow makes AirBeam particularly useful for occupied areas where employees remain in defined locations, while its IP65-rated motor protection and industrial construction support use in demanding warehouse and manufacturing environments.

Selecting AirBeam Is About Putting Airflow Where It Is Needed

A suitable AirBeam installation should be designed around the required airflow direction, projection distance, working areas, surrounding obstructions and mounting position before the final fan location and angle are confirmed.

Required airflow projection distance
Aisle length and width
Fan mounting position and angle
Supporting structure and fixings
Racking, conveyors and machinery
Occupied workstations and working zones
Doors, loading bays and openings
Clear airflow path and obstructions
Packaging and lightweight materials
Electrical supply requirements
Controller and automation requirements
Ventilation, extraction and BMS systems
Correct positioning is essential. AirBeam can project focused airflow up to approximately 27 metres, but actual performance depends on fan position, direction, surrounding racking, machinery, openings and other site conditions. The final installation should be designed around the specific occupied area being served.

Planning estimate only. AirBeam is a directional airflow product, so this calculator does not use a square-metre coverage figure. Fan quantity is estimated from the number of separate airflow runs and the chosen planning throw per fan. The maximum air projection is approximately 27 metres, but actual effective projection depends on mounting position, fan angle, racking, machinery, openings, obstructions and required air velocity. Running-cost calculations assume every calculated AirBeam is operating continuously at the 1.04 kW maximum motor power for the hours entered. Actual electrical consumption can therefore differ. Combined airflow is a simple total of the maximum airflow of each fan and must not be interpreted as guaranteed building airflow or air-change performance. Final quantity, positioning, controls, structural support and electrical requirements should be confirmed through a MegaFan site survey and project design.
